Kinder Morgan’s Trans Mountain pipeline already runs through Nlaka’pamux territory. Now, Kinder Morgan is seeking to nearly triple the capacity of the line through a project called the “Trans Mountain Expansion Project (TMEP)” — our community needs to decide if we should enter into negotiations with Kinder Morgan about this project.
Before any decisions are made, it is important to Nooaitch leadership to understand members’ thoughts and feelings and answer any questions about the project. We are going to involve the community from the very beginning.
The first step is asking members their opinions about the project through a quick survey — and as a thank you for filling it out, you will be entered to win a new BBQ just in time for grilling season! Click the following link to take the survey: Member Survey
For more information about the Trans Mountain Project, the attached document outlines the proposed expansion in our territory, what’s coming next with the community decision making, and potential benefits that could be negotiated if we do enter into an agreement.
